Harlem fire at NYCHA apartment building; 1 killed, 11 injured
HARLEM - One person was killed and nearly a dozen were injured in a blaze at a 14-story NYCHA apartment building in Harlem Thursday night.
The fire broke out on the first floor of the building on Park Avenue between Harlem River Drive and the Dead End.
One person died at the scene and 11 others were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries, according to the FDNY.
It is still unclear what might have caused the fire.
