4 Long Island tornadoes confirmed from Saturday storm

The National Weather Service says four tornadoes touched down on Long Island from a fast-moving storm that tore across the New York City region on Saturday. There were also 3 other tornadoes confirmed in Connecticut.

Democratic state Rep. Caroline Simmons has been elected mayor of Stamford, Connecticut. Former MLB manager and player Bobby Valentine conceded defeat in a speech to his supporters. Simmons will be the first woman to serve as mayor of Stamford, the state's second-largest city.
