13-year-old fatally stabbed after argument on Staten Island bus
STATEN ISLAND - A 13-year-old boy has died after being stabbed on a bus on Staten Island Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. on a MTA bus at Littlefield Avenue and Hylan Boulevard.
Police say two teens got into an argument on a bus. A knife was produced and gang signs were shown.
The 13-year-old victim was then stabbed multiple times in the chest.
The teen suspect got off the bus and ran roughly three blocks before a Good Samaritan, a retired NYPD Sergeant, and a New York Department of Environmental Conservation officer all followed the suspect and helped arrest him.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Police say they believe the incident was gang-related.
Neither person in the stabbing has been identified yet.
