NJ Transit, Amtrak delays due to train derailment

NEW YORK - Rail service in and out of New York Penn Station is facing up to 30-minute delays after a minor train derailment on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Amtrak, at approximately 2 p.m., a set of wheels on a train derailed while departing from New York Penn station. No injuries were reported, and commuters were able to get off the train and were accomodated on other trains.
By 4 p.m., the train was moved out of the station.
NJ Transit is cross-honoring rail tickets and passes on trains and buses as well as PATH trains at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken Terminal, and 33rd Street.
Amtrak says it will waive additional charges for customers looking to change their reservation should call 1-800-USA-RAIL.
