Subway stabbings surge in NYC, residents on edge

In New York City, people are on edge and on alert after multiple subway stabbings this week. FOX 5 NY’s Kendall Green has the latest from the Pelham Parkway station in the Bronx where an MTA worker was stabbed on Thursday.

An MTA employee was stabbed Thursday morning inside Pelham Parkway subway station in the Bronx, police say. 

Officials said the worker was stabbed in the armpit around 6 :10 a.m. after an argument with an unknown individual. 

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Police say the suspect, believed to be around 50 to 60 years old with a beard, was last seen wearing all black clothing.

The investigation remains ongoing.
