Long Island teen missing for weeks found on boat

A Long Island teen who went missing nearly three weeks ago has been found.

Emmarae Gervasi, 14, was found aboard a boat, The Post reports.

She reportedly was found on Friday in a marina near the White Cap Fish Market, 13 miles west of Patchogue.

She was last seen leaving her house without a jacket or shoes on and getting into a black car.

Her father Frank and stepmom Aly said they had no idea where their daughter had gone or if she was with anyone.

Surveillance video shows the last time Emmarae Gervasi walked out of her home in Patchogue back on Dec. 9, which was the last time that the 14-year-old was seen.

"When Aly went upstairs to look for something, she went into the car for look for it, and then she went out the gate," Frank said. "She left with no shoes on and it was pouring rain. It didn’t look like she was intending on leaving."

Emmarae struggled with drug addiction stemming from childhood trauma, but Frank and Aly said they thought she was on the right path. She has left home before, but never for this long.

Her court-monitored ankle bracelet was found cut off near their home.

"We're out looking for her until two or three o'clock in the morning," he said. "Every time the phone rings we think it's information for Emma or a tip, but it never is."

While Suffolk County police confirmed their investigation, Frank followed his own leads and spent days desperately searching for his daughter. Community members came together to search for Emmarae on Tuesday afternoon.

"I got strangers calling us and saying ‘hey where could I drive around and look’ and that's amazing, because that's how we're gonna find her," he said. "We want to hear her voice again, We wanna see her we wanna know that she's OK."

The family offered a $15,000 reward for the lead that brings Emmarae back, no questions asked.

At the time Frank said, "there’s no stopping until I find her and that's just the way it's gonna be."
