Mariah Carey cancels NYC Christmas shows after catching the flu
Trey Lorenz singer-songwriter and record producer who is on tour with the Queen of Christmas told Good Day the singer has been ill and will be resting up for the time being.
NEW JERSEY - It looks like Mariah Carey’s Christmas spirit is on a brief hiatus as she cancels her Newark show due to illness.
The singer, known as the "Queen of Christmas," shared an apology on X, informing fans that she would also be canceling her Sunday performance.
Fans expressed their support with get-well wishes, reminding her that they "love [her] forever."
While Carey is scheduled to perform in Brooklyn on Tuesday, it remains uncertain whether that show will go on as planned.
The Prudential Center released a statement confirming the cancellation, citing illness as the reason for the show being called off.
