NYC real estate twins, the Alexander brothers, arrested in FBI sex trafficking probe
NEW YORK - A pair of twins and their older brother, who face serious accusations of violent sexual assault, were arrested near Miami Beach on Wednesday.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said that the number of victims was "quite significant," noting that dozens of victims had already come forward.
"This conduct, as alleged, is heinous," Williams told reporters.

Alon, Tal, and Oren Alexander, real estate giants known for their success in luxury markets in Miami and New York City have been indicted on three counts of sex trafficking, fraud and coercion.
The indictment alleges that since 2010, the brothers worked together to operate a long-running sex trafficking scheme, during which they allegedly raped and sexually assaulted women, often drugging them.
The charges say the brothers would lure women to various locations, where they were sexually assaulted, sometimes by multiple men.

Women accuse Alexander brothers of sexual assault in NYC
Following two explosive lawsuits, nearly 30 other women have come forward with similar claims, according to The Real Deal, which first reported on the suits.
In a 2012 incident, a woman says she was raped at Sir Ivan’s Castle in Water Mill, Long Island. "On many occasions, Alon would sometimes pretend to be his twin brother Oren, trying to help his brother and call or text Plaintiff on Oren’s behalf" when she wouldn’t agree to go out with him, The Post reported.
In a separate 2010 incident, the twins allegedly attacked an 18-year-old woman at a restaurant in the Meatpacking District, then assaulted her.
The multimillionaire brothers have denied any wrongdoing.

Oren’s identical twin brother, Alon, is an executive in a private security firm.
Two women who filed lawsuits accuse both Oren and Alon of assaulting her at Sir Ivan’s Castle, a party mansion in the Southampton town of Water Mill.
Some of the allegations date back as far as 2004, when Oren and Alon were high school students in Miami.

What are the Alexander brothers accused of?
The indictment alleges that from 2010 to at least 2021, the brothers used their wealth to create opportunities to rape and sexually assault women. Specifically, the brothers are accused of leveraging their positions in real estate to meet women using trips and other luxuries as bait to "recruit, entice, harbor, transport, and maintain multiple women. They also sometimes in advance, provided drugs like cocaine mushrooms and GHB for the women to take, according to the indictment.

Gov. Hochul signed into law on Nov. 17, 2023, a bill amending the New York State Human Rights Law to extend the statute of limitations for filing claims of unlawful discrimination under state law to three years, which runs from the date of the alleged unlawful discriminatory practice. The previous deadline for initiating discrimination claims under state law was one year, except for claims of sexual harassment, which could be filed within a three-year statute of limitations period.
