Public Affairs Programming

Good Day Street Talk is a lively talk show that addresses community, health, education, politics and more. The program airs Saturday mornings at 6 a.m.

Department of Public Affairs

Works hand-in-hand with non-profit organizations and supports community campaigns including children's issues, domestic abuse, intolerance, substance abuse, health and arts & culture.

Maintains public files for FCC compliance, tracking news and public affairs stories and programs.

Provides Good Day New York, The 5 O’ Clock, 6 O’ Clock and 10 O’ Clock News with information about community activities and events.

Sponsors direct campaigns such as book, canned food, coat and toy drives.

Participates with the Emma Bowen Foundation to provide students of color access to the field of communications.

Helps non-profit organizations and governmental agencies publicize their services by providing free public service airtime.

Public Service Announcements (PSAs)

Public service announcements are accepted for non-profit charitable organizations in order to promote their efforts in the community.

Formats accepted:  .mov; .mp4

Electronic Format: HD / 720p / 59.94 Frame rate

Length: 15 or 30 seconds

Documentation needed for screening: IRS form 501(c)(3), supporting material outlining PSAs objectives and brochure and/or accurate background information on the organization. A tax exemption certificate is unacceptable.

Localized PSAs are preferred.

Time-specific PSAs must be sent at least two months in advance.

PSAs must be well-produced with a clear, concise message, including the organization's name or logo and the organization's telephone number or a resource telephone number. Logos for commercial sponsors included in the creative cannot be accepted.

Announcements are screened on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no guarantees that a spot will air. Approved spots are placed in our inventory for future rotation. It takes 6 to 8 weeks to screen a PSA. Please email to joe.silvestri@fox.com.
