Racial disparity in COVID deaths
Complete racial data on coronavirus infections and mortalities in New York and most places still remains delayed and elusive. But enough is known that experts are sounding the alarm about racial disparities in those testing positive and dying from COVID-19. The virus appears to be hitting African Americans and other minorities especially hard. Dr. Sharrelle Barber, a social epidemiologist at Drexel University, spoke to FOX 5 NY about how structural racism has shaped racial health inequities in the United States.
