Murphy takes office

Phil Murphy was sworn in as the new governor of New Jersey. The Democrat replaces Chris Christie, a Republican who served two terms. Murphy wooed Garden State voters with a campaign that largely rebuked the agenda of the Trump administration. He touched on those points again during his inaugural address.
