Columbus Day protests

Honoring Christopher Columbus with the big parade in New York is generating more controversy. Some demonstrators outside the Museum of Natural History are circulating a petition to have Columbus Day renamed Indigenous Peoples' Day. The Christopher Columbus statue has also been a target for critics who want it taken down.
