From North Korea to New York
Joseph Kim, 27, escaped North Korea 10 years ago by running across a frozen Tumen River, which borders North Korea and China. Starving, homeless, and an orphan, he made a daring run for it despite the soldiers patrolling the North Korean side. He said he took a big chance because most people trying this end up getting caught. He told Fox 5 of his journey all the way to America.
