Good Day Street Talk: Crohn's and Colitis Foundation; Harlem Stage

The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is committed to finding cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis as they also work to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. One way is through the annual Take Steps walk on Thursday, June 12th at the South Street Seaport. Jake Carlin, Associate Executive Director for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, Donovan Valentin who serves as this year's Adult Honored Hero, and this year's Healthcare Honored Hero Dr. Ruby Greywoode of Montefiore Medical Center give us a preview. Also, for the last 40 years, Harlem Stage has been a beacon for showcasing up-and-coming artists of color, providing them with a nurturing space to develop their talents and express their truth. A new era has now begun for the organization with the appointment of its new President and CEO, Dr. Indira Etwaroo, who talks about moving the institution forward. And, from budgets and spending, to credit and purchasing power, money is a central focus of our daily lives! And when it comes to today's youth, it's imperative to teach them the foundations of financial literacy and empower them for their own futures! Ted Psahos, Executive Director of Projekt NYC, Teen Volunteer Lorelei Chorrillos from St. John's Preparatory School in Astoria, and Danny Jang, Founder and CEO of Futures Financials Inc.
