Staten Island park assault sparks calls for safety
Officials are ramping up security efforts at Silver Lake Park on Staten Island following an attempted assault on a woman last week. Borough President Vito Fossella and District Attorney Michael McMahaon announced increased NYPD patrols and pushed to reopen Silver Lake Road to deter crime in the area.
