NJ town considers law banning homelessness

A controversial proposal in one of New Jersey’s wealthiest towns is generating heated debate. The city of Summit is considering a new ordinance that would fine or jail people for sleeping, camping, or storing belongings in public places—sparking concerns about criminalizing homelessness.
