Outdoor dining returns, but booze permits lag
Outdoor dining season officially kicks off next week in New York City, but many restaurant owners are hitting a roadblock when it comes to serving alcohol outside. FOX 5’s Richard Giacovas reports from the Upper West Side, where restaurant owners say they can’t even apply for a liquor permit without first getting approval for a roadway café from the city’s Department of Transportation.
