Construction noise upsets UWS residents
Upper West Side residents are losing sleep over unbearable noise from steel plates covering construction sites on West 105th Street near Columbus Avenue. The plates, placed by Con Edison after daily work on a gas main replacement project, create a loud clanking sound whenever vehicles—especially large trucks and buses—drive over them. Con Ed says they are working as quickly as possible to complete the project and remove the plates. FOX 5’s Jessica Formoso reports live from the scene.
