At a public gathering! And then there are clubs, run clubs to be specific! Rachael Lansing and Steve Cole, Co-Founders of the Lunge Run Club talk about their efforts. Also, a very serious subject for a number of children, the issue of having a parent who is incarcerated! It can have an impact on a child’s mental health, social behavior, and educational prospects. There is also the stigma associated with having a parent in jail. Youth Advocate Jamila Small is using her own experience to help other young people who are facing the same challenges she had to overcome. And, the rash of school shootings have sadly become common occurrences throughout our communities. It's what has led local New York Filmmaker Wilfred La Salle to take the issue head on and to raise awareness about an issue that affects all of us in his film The Security Guard.
