'Fire Shut Up in My Bones' back at the Met Opera

The groundbreaking opera "Fire Shut Up in My Bones" is back at The Met Opera. The drama-filled jazz opera broke barriers on stage in 2021 with Terrence Blanchard becoming the first black composer to present at The Met Opera with “Fire.” The opera is packed with thrilling dance and booming vocals courtesy of bass-baritone opera artist, Ryan Speedo Green, who stars as Charles, a young man trying to overcome a life trauma and continued hardship. Good Day’s Ryan Kristafer spoke with Ryan Speedo Green at The Met Opera to learn how her performs in both “Fire” and “Carmen” at The Met Opera.
