An advocate for the disabled in the music and live entertainment industries, as well as being named USA Today’s Women of the Year 2024 representing New York. Lachi, President of Recording Artists and Music Professionals with Disabilities, talks about her efforts. Also, the rising cost of living affecting many New Yorkers, including our senior citizens. The city-wide non-profit Hanac is there to support our most vulnerable communities. Executive Director Stacy Bliagos talks about the support available. And, singer, songwriter and activist Sophia Angelica previews her new song "Flying On" and how she is incorporating social issues in her music.
