Long Island student becomes hometown hero after requesting snow day in May

Ethan Brown, a junior at Jericho High School, became an overnight celebrity after requesting a snow day in May during a school board meeting. Despite not using any snow days during the winter, Brown believed that a snow day could provide joy and fun for everyone. To his surprise, superintendent Hank Grishman approved his request and declared the day before Memorial Day weekend as the "Ethan Brown Snow Day."
