New NYC rule aims to tackle rat problem by delaying trash pickup
New York City has implemented a new rule to combat its ongoing rat problem. Starting April 1st, building superintendents will be required to wait until 8 p.m. to put out trash instead of 4 p.m. The directive from NYC Sanitation Commissioner Jessica Tisch aims to discourage rats from rummaging through trash in the city streets.
