No weapons on robot police dogs?

Several robotics companies have pledged to not weaponize general-purpose robots that they build. One of those companies, Boston Dynamics, makes a dog-like robot called Spot, which it supplies to police departments. The NYPD ended its testing program of the robot after controversy.
