In the six weeks since New York Mayor Bill de Blasio's actions, iconic street ball landmarks such as Rucker Park in Harlem, Brooklyn's Gersh Park, "The Cage" on West 4th Street in Greenwich Village, Dyckman Park in Washington Heights and others have all been void of the typical soundtrack that help usher in the spring warmup across the five boroughs.

Subway surfer caught on camera

The NYPD released video of a man seen riding on the back of a subway. He is also believed to have pulled the emergency break on the train in the West Village.

The Sip: Cocktails at Chumley's

Behind some walls in the West Village lies a piece of New York City history. Alessandro Borgognone is the owner of Chumley's, a hot spot on Bedford Street that dates back almost a hundred years. The original Chumley's closed 10 years ago but now it is back with a full menu and creative cocktail list. Bar manager Jessica Dure showed us one of her favorite creations: The Chimney Sweep, known for its dark color.

Popular Eateries in the West Village and the Upper West Side of Manhattan have become the latest victims of New York's ultra-competitive restaurant scene. Restaurant owners say turning a profit is getting harder and harder.
