NHL legend Mike Bossy of NY Islanders dead at 65

Mike Bossy, one of hockey’s most prolific goal-scorers and a star for the New York Islanders during their 1980s Stanley Cup dynasty, has died after a battle with lung cancer. He was 65.

Islanders to return to Nassau County

The New York Islanders are coming back to Long Island, according to several sources who have been following the team's plans. Hempstead Town Supervisor-elect Laura Gillen said she would have preferred to see the Islanders return to Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, but she is glad the state is paving the way for the team to at least relocate to Nassau County.
