Brian Laundrie's father, Christopher, spent Thursday morning at a North Port park with law enforcement, one day after he was asked for to join the search for his son as they investigate the Gabby Petito case.

Cassie Laundrie urged her brother to surrender to authorities in a televised interview.

"I just hope he's found," Gabby Petito's father Joe said about the ongoing manhunt for Brian Laundrie. "I want to see him in a jail cell for the rest of his life, where he's an outdoorsman being in that concrete cell."

"Chris Laundrie was asked to assist law enforcement in their search for Brian at the preserve today," Steve Bertolino, the family's attorney, told Fox News Wednesday night.

Gabby Petito told a police officer that her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, didn't believe in her dream to create a website and blog, but she was apparently able to edit and publish an 8-minute video when Laundrie left her for nearly a week in Utah while he flew home to Florida.
