Woman punched, thrown to ground in the Bronx

The NYPD says it is looking for the man caught on surveillance camera footage repeatedly punching and knocking a woman to the ground in the vestibule of a Bronx apartment building. The assault occurred on Sept. 9 at about 7:40 p.m. in the area of East 201st Street and Brigss Avenue.

The man attempted to pulled the victim's purse off her shoulder. When she resisted, he punched her in the face and threw her to the ground.

The suspect fled without the purse along East 201st Street on a bicycle.

He is described as black, bald and approximately 5'8" -5'11" tall. He was wearing gloves at the time of the assault.
