A look at some of the more notable crimes across the New York City area this week, including the return of CEO killer Luigi Mangione to NYC plus a former advisor to Mayor Eric Adams is accused of accepting payments in exchange for favors.

One woman is dead, and two others are hurt after a taxi careened down a sidewalk in Queens on Saturday, police said.

It happened at approximately 3:10 a.m. near 115th Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard in South Ozone Park.

Police say the cab and a 2017 Honda Accord that was being driven by a 27-year-old man slammed into each other and the taxi ricocheted onto the sidewalk.

Two men, aged 49 and 41, suffered minor injuries and no one inside the cars was hurt, police said. 

All three people were taken to Jamaica Hospital.

The woman who was killed in the crash has been identified as 51-year-old Vindya Dookran-Franco, police said. 

No arrests have been made.
