Wegmans recalls chicken products
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Grocery store chain Wegmans recalled approximately 1,125 pounds of chicken products Wednesday.
Three varieties of the vacuum-sealed marinated chicken are included in the recall:
Wegmans Italian Marinated Chicken Breast Cutlets, approximately 1 lb. UPC begins with 2-00866 - ONLY product with a use-by date of 1/24/2016.
Wegmans Brown Sugar Barbecue Seasoned Chicken Breast Cutlet, approximately 1 lb. UPC begins with 2-00949 - ONLY product with a use-by date of 1/15/2016.
Wegmans Ready To Cook Garlic & Fennel Seasoned Chicken (whole roaster), Family Pack, approximately 3 lbs. UPC begins with 2-03354 - ONLY product with a use-by date of 1/13/2016.
According to post on the store's website, the recalled products were not inspected by the USDA prompting the recall.
The items were shipped to distribution and retail locations in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
During a review of establishment records, an inspector store changed its production schedule, producing products outside the approved hours of operation, according to the USDA.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

Consumers can return the chicken for a full refund.
