Former Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp was bitten by a shark while lobstering off the coast of Marathon.

He was diving for lobster with Two Conchs Charters in the Florida Bay when the shark decided it wanted the lobster just as bad as Warren did, said Capt. Jack Carlson. "Warren won but the shark got his lick in too," said Capt. Carlson.

A photo posted on social media shows the gash on Sapp's arm. The shark, though, was a 4 foot nurse shark, Capt. Carlson said.

It was unclear whether he would need stitches.

Sapp joked about the ordeal in tweets, too. But it appeared he and his team made up for the run-in with a shark by cashing in with dozens of lobster.
