BALTIMORE - (AP) -- A video has surfaced apparently showing a school police officer slapping a young man at a school in Baltimore.
A Baltimore City Public Schools official says the incident occurred Tuesday at REACH Partnership School. In a cell phone video shot by a student, a police officer can be seen slapping and kicking a young man.
School officials haven't confirmed whether the young man is a student. Neither the young man nor the officer in the video has been identified.
It's not clear what led up to the incident, or what happened after the camera stopped recording.
The head of the city's school police force, Marshall Goodwin, has been placed on administrative leave because of the incident.
Baltimore City Public Schools released a statement saying they are "vigorously investigating" the incident.
