Vicious assault on MTA bus driver

The NYPD is on the hunt for the man who repeatedly punched an MTA bus driver after he refused to give him a free ride.

The attack happened at Merrick Boulevard and 220th Street in Laurelton, Queens on Dec. 14 at about 11:40 p.m.  The NYPD released an image of the suspect.  He was wearing a red hoodie and blue sweatpants with white stripes. 

The 32-year-old driver in the attack was listed in stable condition at a nearby Franklin General Hospital after the attack. Assaulting an MTA employee is a felony and can get you up to seven years behind bars.

The suspect is described by police as black, approximately 20-24 years old, 6 feet tall, about 185 lbs.   He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue sweat pants with white stripes going down the side and white sneakers.
