Trump to announce China summit over trade war, according to reports

President Donald Trump is poised to announce plans for a summit with China to end a two-year trade war, according to reports.

The Washington Post indicates that the President is “likely” to make the announcement Thursday afternoon.

Trump is slated to meet with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He around 4:30 p.m.

Liu He has been in D.C. this week for discussions with American negotiators, the New York Times noted.

Teams from the U.S. and China met in Beijing last week.
