Toddler found dead in tractor-trailer in Harlem

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a Connecticut toddler was found dead in the cab of a tractor trailer in Harlem.

Eighteen-month-old Michaela Henry was sleeping in the cab with her older brother and mother on Friday evening while her father was making a delivery to a Harlem store.

At one point, the mother noticed that the child was not breathing and called police. The girl was unconscious and unresponsive.

Police rushed the girl to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities are investigating, but say there were no signs of trauma. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The child is from Hartford, Connecticut.
