The Snack: Eggloo

It's the most Instagrammed snack on social media this summer. You've probably seen the sweet, colorful creations on Instagram. They're from Eggloo on Mulberry Street in Chinatown.

Michael Tan is the brains behind the business. Tan grew up in the neighborhood and remembers eating the Hong Kong-style egg waffles as a kid.

As an adult, Tan decided to try to recreate his favorite childhood snack. Then he added ice cream and realized he was onto something.

The taste is incredible. It is the perfect combination of a hot waffle and cold ice cream. And part of the fun of the experience is snapping a photo for social media so you can enjoy the snack with friends and your followers.
