2 women killed, driver in custody

Two women were killed and the driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash on the FDR Drive. The driver was arrested. Police have not released details about the charges the driver is facing.

Two women were killed and the driver injured after their vehicle crashed on the FDR Drive Friday morning and burst into flames.

The driver was arrested following the crash. It was not clear what charges were filed.

The single-car collision at 74th Street on the Upper East Side brought traffic to a standstill during the morning rush.

Only one lane was open in both directions as of 6 a.m. All lanes were reopened by 11:15 a.m.

2 killed in FDR crash

The FDR Drive reopened late Friday morning after two people were killed and a third injured in an early morning crash.

SkyFox was over the scene where police vehicles surrounded the charred vehicle.

It was not clear what lead to the crash.
