Several reportedly injured in axe attack on train in Germany
At least 15 people were injured after a man wielding an axe and knife went on a rampage on a German train before he was shot dead by police, officials told Sky News.
Police spokesman Fabien Hench told Sky News that several of the victims are in serious condition.
Hench added that the attacker was shot dead by police as he tried to flee the scene
The stabbing rampage took place near the city of Wurzberg in Southern Germany, according to German newspaper Der Spiegel.
The train line between Wurzburg-Heidingsfeld and Ochsenfurt is closed as a result of the attack.
