NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A robber hit up a Subway sandwich shop in North Lindenhurst Wednesday in a string of robberies on Long Island that began on March 1.
In security camera video released by Suffolk County Police, the masked man can be seen approaching the cash register as the cashier moves out of the way.
The suspect threatened the employee with a knife at about 12:30 a.m. before taking off with the money, said police.
The robber has struck at least 17 times mostly in Nassau County where he has hit up at least seven Dunkin Donuts shops, two 7-Elevens, two Subway sandwich shops and two Carvel ice cream stores.
The Subway robbery on Wednesday was his fourth known hold-up.
The suspect is about about 25 years old and 6 feet tall with a medium build.
He wears a dark-colored hooded jacket, jeans and tan work boots, and covers his face with dark sunglasses and a dark-colored cloth, according to police.
