Security guard tackles fan trying to reach Messi

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Don't mess with Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

As the soccer legend and his teammates were walking back to the locker room following a game on Wednesday, a fan jumped from high in the stands and landed directly in front of the 2016 FIFA Player of the Year.

Seconds later, a security guard tackles the man to the ground. He apparently did not get a hand on the newly blonde superstar.

The video posted by @MattHoltTips via Twitter has gone viral.
