Nothing says the holidays quite like the movie Home Alone and braving the crowds to get home.

On Wednesday, one of the busiest travel days of the year, travelers got a taste of both, thanks to Atom Tickets' fly-in movie theater, set up smack in the middle of JFK Airport's Terminal 4.

The pop-up movie theater was complete with red velvet ropes, uniformed ushers and free popcorn and candy for all. Home Alone and Miracle on 34th Street were among the holiday classics being shown.

For Harlem mom Christine and her son Jordan, the theater was the perfect place to hang out after they missed their flight to Buffalo and had hours to kill until the next plane.

"I think it's great," Christine said.

"I's really all about bringing joy to thanksgiving, joy to families as they're on their way home," said Amber Tarshis, Atom's brand manager.

Tarshis said Atom plans to host another pop-up theater in lower Manhattan on December 17 and is looking to screen movies at some malls sometime next year.

Atom Tickets, a movie ticketing app and website, partnered with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on the pop-up project. 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox 5 News/Fox5NY.com, is an investor in Atom.
