Poll: Most Americans rate 2024 a 6 out of 10
NEW YORK CITY - As 2024 is coming to an end, most Americans rated the year a 6.1 out of 10, according to a Talker Research poll.

FOX 5 NY's Meredith Gorman asked New Yorkers what they would rate this year out of 10.
"I would rate this year a strong six. It's been a year of learning for me," a New Yorker said. "I've learned a lot. I just look forward to a more positive 2025."
"I would give it a 10. I got married in October. Christmas was great. No fights, so that's great. Excited for 2025 though," another New Yorker said.
It turns out most Americans rated 2024 a solid 6.1, according to new numbers crunched by Talker Research.
Talker Research found that 30% of people said this year has been an eight out of 10 or higher for them.
However, when you look closer, 67% of us say 2024 was a year of personal growth.
Talker Research found only 18% felt they experienced no growth in 2024, while 15% were uncertain about their progress. Among those who reported growth, over half (52%) noted improvements in their personal life, and 38% highlighted advancements in their mental and emotional well-being, according to Talker Research.
Talker Research said an additional 29% reported making strides in their physical health and fitness, while 25% saw progress in their financial situation over the past year.
Gorman said most New Yorkers are looking forward to the new year.
"Every year on earth is a good year. 2024 was great. 2025 is going to be even better," a New Yorker said.
