Missing Maine woman
Police are searching for Christine Hammontree, a woman from Maine who was visiting New York City when she disappeared on May 24.
NEW YORK - A Maine woman who was the subject of a search by the NYPD has been found safe In Queens.
According to authorities, Christine Hammontree, 29, of Falmouth, Maine, was last seen near the corner of West 45th Street and 7th Avenue at 2 a.m. on May 24 when she disappeared.
However, police announced Friday evening that she was found unharmed in Long Island City, and that there will be no further investigation.
Hammontree had been seen on surveillance video getting into a car with a group of people, and her family reported her missing when she did not fly home.
