Officer shot, suspect killed in police involved shooting in NJ
An officer was injured and a suspect was killed after police responded to a domestic dispute in West New York, New Jersey on Friday night.
NEW JERSEY - A police officer was injured after being shot in West New York, New Jersey on Friday evening.
Officers responded to a domestic dispute at around 6:30 p.m. at a home on 59th Street, officials say.
When police arrived, officials say a man began shooting at them.
Two officers returned fire, killing the man.
One officer was shot in the shoulder. The officer was taken to an area hospital for treatment, and his injuries are not said to be life-threatening.
The suspect's name has not yet been released and an investigation is ongoing.
