LaGrange Police want to find the man investigators said left his 5-month-old son in an apartment by himself for two hours on purpose.

Terrico Lindsey is wanted on charges of cruelty to children. Officers said on July 10, he left the child at an apartment in the 100 block of Laurel Ridge Avenue West. That's the location of an apartment where the child's mother lived. Investigators told FOX 5 News the infant was alone from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m.

“At some point in the night he started sending her text messages that he was going to leave the child at her old apartment,” said Sgt. Robert Kirby. “Now she was in the process of moving out of this apartment so there were no utilities nothing. It was almost empty except for some furniture.”

Detectives said the parents were not on good terms, but made agreements so Lindsey could see his son. The plan was to drop the boy at a neutral place where the two wouldn't have to see each other.

“What complicated the matter also is she didn't get the text messages for about an hour and a half after he sent them.”

Officers said when they found the child it was about 80 degrees, he was crying and in a soiled diaper.

Anyone knows where Lindsey is should call the police.
