Police: Don't show criminals what you got for Christmas
CLEARWATER, Fla. (FOX 13) - Clearwater, Florida police want to remind everyone not to tell strangers what they got for Christmas by leaving the big boxes out on the curb.
Police say there are people driving around the neighborhoods looking for information about what people got for Christmas so they can break into houses and steal it.
Police suggest people take the cardboard to the recycling drop-off center in Clearwater located at 1701 N. Hercules Ave., or a drop-off center near where they live. People can also break down the boxes and put it into their recycling bins.
"Help prevent yourself from becoming a crime victim," police say.
