Police dog tracks, continuously barks at suspect found in woods

The nose of a K9 is pretty accurate, with their bark just as aggressive. Those skills were at play and evident when one of Pasco County's own tracked down a man suspected of stealing a vehicle.

Pasco County detectives said 25-year-old Randy Allen Davis was traveling westbound on State Road 52 in a stolen vehicle. While following him, detectives said they saw the suspect make a U-turn and flee eastbound on the same road.

Davis then turned onto Chicago Avenue, and detectives said he exited the car and took off into the woods near the intersection of Marquerite Avenue and Pontiac Street in New Port Richey.

Several units arrived, as well as air service and K9 Titan. Titan located Davis under a thick brush, and began barking, as Sgt. Ferguson warned him that Titan will bite him.

“Get up,” Sgt. Ferguson is heard saying in body camera video, then repeatedly tells Titan, “Watch him.”
Titan continues barking toward Davis until he was handcuffed and walked away from the wooded area.
