Photos released of suspect in Staten Island rape

NEW YORk (FOX 5 NY) - The NYPD is looking for a suspect in the rape of a 44-year-old woman in Mariners Harbor, Staten Island. Cops released several photos of Maurice Scott, 28, Monday. 

Scott is accused of walking into an office building on Forrest Ave. on Friday and sexually assaulting a woman before robbing her of jewelry, a cell phone and cash, said police.

The assault occurred at about 5:30 p.m.

The victim was treated at Richmond University Medical Center.

Scott is described as black, 6' tall, 290 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a 5-point star on his left cheek.

Scott was wearing a green camouflage baseball hat, green camouflage jacket and black pants at the time of the rape, added police.
