Officer injured detaining naked, feces-covered man
NEW YORK - A police officer on Long Island was hurt Saturday morning during an unusual incident.
Nassau County police found a naked man running in a Massapequa road about 11:30 a.m. The man was also covered in feces, according to police.
Officers were able to safely get him out of the road and tried to restrain him for his own safety.

During the process, one of the officers suffered a shoulder injury and EMS had to take him to the hospital for treatment. He was later released to go home.
The naked man was transported to a hospital for his own safety. Police said the man was known to officers from previous incidents.
