A look at some of the more notable crimes across the New York City area this week, including the return of CEO killer Luigi Mangione to NYC plus a former advisor to Mayor Eric Adams is accused of accepting payments in exchange for favors.

The NYPD is searching for the suspect believed to have repeatedly set fires in the same area in Brooklyn.

Police said the first incident happened on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, just before 11:30 a.m. near 100 Ralph Avenue. The suspect started a fire and then fled the scene, police said.

On Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, police said the suspect then returned to the same location around 1 a.m. and started another fire. Police said he then returned to the same location again early in the morning on New Year's Day and started a third fire before fleeing the scene.

Police said there were no reported injuries in any of the incidents.

The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, approximately 25 to 30-years-old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds.
